The basic lotion range of Orion was renewed in 2006. The objective was to update the design and make it more approachable.
"Redesigning the range was a great success. In the process the fresh and clean, slightly pharmaceutical message remained, but the product image was made more approachable to the consumer. Consumers' relationship to the products had been mainly rational, but after the redesign a bit of emotion has been added as well" says Product Manager Anja Koskinen and continues: - "The products are now easy to tell apart from each other and yet stand out in the pharmacy shelves due to their coherent visual design. The relevance of packaging grows greater in pharmacies as well, and the renewal has successfully tackled the challenges of the evolving pharmacy environment."
